Campaign started to get HeatoN into Swedish tv-show ”Let’s dance”
avLast year a campaign that tried to get HeatoN into ”Mästarnas Mästare” – a show where former pro athletes compete in various challenges – garnered over 40 000 supporters on Facebook and made SVT consider him as a participant.
This year a new campaign has started to get the legend into ”Let’s Dance”, the Swedish equivalent of ”Dancing with the stars”.
– I suck at dancing but if they wanna to humiliation tv with me I’ll gladly let people laugh at my expense, he tells Aftonbladet Esport.
”Mästarnas Mästare”, where legendary Swedish athletes gather and compete against each other, is one of the largest tv shows in the country with over 2,5 million viewers tuning in for some episodes. Last year, a Facebook campaign to get Ninjas in Pyjamas’ legendary leader Emil ”HeatoN” Christensen into the show as a competitor gained the support of over 40 000 users. Ultimately, Christensen was invited to SVT to discuss the successful campaign during one of the aftershows in the 2014 season, but he was snubbed as a competitor in 2015.
”Send him to Let’s Dance to shake his booty”
Now, a new campaign has launched, aiming to have HeatoN compete in another enormously popular tv show: ”Let’s Dance”. The equivalent of ”Dancing with the stars”, ”Let’s Dance” has over two million viewers and is broadcasted on TV4 or channel 4. The campaign started on Sunday and only has a couple of hundred supporters so far, but everything points towards it gaining thousands of supporters, just like the ”Mästarnas mästare” campaign.
”As HeatoN unfortunately didn’t make it to ”Mästarnas mästare” to show his muscle, I think we’ll try to send him to ”Let’s Dance” to shake his booty”, the group starter explains the initiative.
”I’ll probably be like Ingemar Stenmark”
And HeatoN himself seems open to the idea, even though he’s not that comfortable on the dance floor.
– I suck at dancing so I’ll probably be like Ingemar Stenmark (the legendary ski racer that won last season) even though he ended up winning. But if they want to do humiliation tv with me I’ll gladly let people laugh at my expense, he tells Aftonbladet Esport.
