Since his retirement from professional CS:GO, former Ninjas in Pyjamas profile Robin ”Fifflaren” Johansson has had great success in his new role as color caster and expert during tournaments.
But fans looking forward to seeing him at ESL One Katowice will be disappointed, since he has declined an invitation to attend.
– I wanted to attend but the date is awkward for me so I had to decline, he tells Aftonbladet Esport.

After announcing that his professional career in CS:GO was over, Robin ”Fifflaren” Johansson quickly transitioned into a casting and analyzing role, appearing at the DreamHack Winter major and then at MLG X-Games. Alongside Duncan ”Thorin” Shields he has been lauded for his invaluable insight into the game and players which he recently faced on the battlefield.

”Feels like every event wants me”

But when the next major tournament, ESL One Katowice, starts, Fifflaren will not be a part of the casting crew.
– They asked me, but I had to decline due to personal reasons so I won’t be in Katowice, he tells Aftonbladet Esport.

Even though you can’t attend this time, it must still feel good to keep receiving these offers?

– Yeah I think so. It feels like every event wants me. I would’ve wanted to cast during Katowice but the date is awkward for me, so I’ll have to do it at the next major instead.

By the way, there are rumors circulating that NiP will play with a standin on Sunday. Is the comeback real?

– Haha, no, unfortunately I’m not gonna play.

No casting lineup annouced yet

The casting lineup for ESL One Katowice is yet to be announced. During the qualifiers this weekend the lineup consists of Leigh ”Deman” SmithJason KaplanLauren ”Pansy” Scott och Anders Blume.

EDIT: The article has been updated to address the rumors that Fifflaren is returning to NiP.
