As the 2015 season began we were treated to the first LAN finals as Inferno Online in Stockholm organized Pantamera where some of the best teams in the world competed for a prize pool partly created from recycled cans across Sweden. And now the tournament is back for an other edition.
In February, eight of the best teams in the world will once again travel to Stockholm and Inferno Online to participate in Pantamera 2.0. On Tuesday, Fnatic was announced as the first invited team – and the masters from last year are looking forward to the competition.
– We’re really looking forward to see Fnatic return to Inferno Online in February to defend their title, says Daniel Aicardi, Head of Esports at Clutch Entertainment.
Three more teams will receive direct invites while two teams will qualify through Clutch Entertainment and ELS:s Nordic Masters series. The rest will ”qualify via a yet to be announced way.”
At the time of writing, the current prize pool is at about 14 200 Euros, but it will keep rising thanks to people and esport fans across Sweden who are recycling used cans and bottles. The tournament will take place between 27th and 28th February.
