Ninjas in Pyjamas have reached the promised land.
Through hard work, hours of practice and a severe amount of laughs, the famous Swedish side will now take place in the finals.
– Allu is a really good bloke and we have a lot of fun when we play. And I believe you need that in order to become a good team, Adam ”friberg” Friberg tells Aftonbladet Esport after the victory over Team EnvyUs.

Ninjas in Pyjamas are back in the finals. The Swedish team have yet to miss the last game of a major. On Sunday NiP will face their old nemesis Fnatic, and Adam ”friberg” Friberg hope to deliver a game for the ages.
– I’m convinced it will be a great finals – it always is, he tells Aftonbladet Esport, yet he raises some concerns:
– It’s really crappy that the finals will be played at 1PM CET because it will be tough for North Americans to watch the game and I feel bad for them.

”We have really connected with him”

Ninjas in Pyjamas’ road to the ESL One tournament in Katowice has been a rough path. In the middle of February the team announced that they were looking for a replacement for Mikail ”Maikelele” Bill, eventually the NiP decided to go with the finnis AWP:er allu.
And for those who have had the pleasure to follow the Swedish side during games in the ”point of view”-channel on Twitch might have noticed all the laughs and jokes going on in the team. On Reddit and other social media platforms people have posted some of the Aleksi ”allu” Jallis onliners, and they’ve since become gags.
– It feels really great when we play right now. We have really connected with him and like him a lot. And when you have fun while playing you want to put in even more hours on practice – which in turns makes you a better team.

”Feel very confident”

In the tournament the team has been producing Counter-Strike on the highest level. And when it mattered the most, the team took out the big guns against Team EnvyUs – especially on Cache.
– We won against EnVyUs much thanks to our dominance in the middle of the map. We took about five or six rounds for free just through our aggressive push up the middle, he says after the semi final victory over their French rivals.

You elected to go with Dust2 even tough you know Team EnvyUs are know for the play on that map. What was your reasoning behind the decision?
– We feel very confident on the map and with allu on the team we are even stronger because all of the picks he can get on long while we are on the terrorist side.
