Ninjas in Pyjamas have traveld to Bucharest to compete in the upcoming Dreamhack Open event.
Well there, NiP will face off against four of the best teams in the world. After a short rest the superstar Christopher ”GeT_RiGhT” Alesund now reveals that the team have created new tactics ahead of the tournament.
– We have found out how we can be better as a team, he says to Aftonbladet Esport.

Christopher ”GeT_RiGhT” Alesund are at the time of writing together with his team in Bucharest, Romania. This weekend Dreamhack Opens first tournament of the year will take place with Team SoloMid, Fnatic, Team EnvyUs and Ninjas in Pyjamas fighting for a 75 000 dollar big prize pool.
– The toughest team to face are the ones who are here. There is no team that stands out, the star tells Aftonbladet Esport ahead of the tourney.

The tournament will be held in a fairly new, yet proven format. The teams will off the bat start in a playoff format, with a lower and upper bracket. All matches will be played in a BO3, and the winning team will travel home with 40 000 dollars.
– It will be really interesting to see wether this format suits us. All teams who are here are really strong, and it will be nice to see all games being played in a best-of-three. There will be plenty of awesome, and long, games, GeT_RiGhT says and continues:
– I think the fans will enjoy the event, even though there might be a short supply of games at hand. But I also believe that this will be a great tournament. When it comes to us, we would obviously benefit a lot from a great opening against Team EnvyUs, but we are not scared of them as many people might believe.

”We just want to win a title”

At the same time, it as title hungry Swede who have traveled to eastern Europe and the lack of trophies in the last couple of LAN:s is something that GeT_RiGhT want to remedy.
– We don’t think to much about the prize money, we just want to win a title.

How the spirit in the team? You have had a few weeks with less games and some time of since the last LAN. Have you guys developed some new strategies during this time period?
– Yes. The last couple of days have been relaxing. We have had som off time in order for us to recoup some energy. We were in a stressful situation following the tournament in Kiev where weren’t in the right mindset.
– We have found out how we can be better as a team, so the time off have also paid off. Now we have some new stuff we will bring to this tournament and at the same time we have been working a lot on our selfs. So we feel fairly prepared.

”You win together and you lose together”

The big question that looms over the professional CS:GO scene is what will happen with the North American teams. A lot of speculations are floating around regarding roster shuffles since none of the NA teams won a map against a team from the EU in the recent ESEA LAN.
– The NA scene does not look particularly strong at the moment. Players on the other side of the pond need to realize that they can’t be so egotistical and need to start working more as a team. They need to understand that roles within a team are there in order for the squad to win the game.
– CS:GO is not about some star player dropping 30 bombs and getting away with it, what it comes down to is that you have play like a team and handle everything that happens as a unit. You win together and you lose together. I also believe there is a roster shuffle incoming in order to find the hope for the NA scene. And it will be interesting to see what comes out of it.
