HeatoN: ”I guarantee we’ll be the best team 2015”

Emil ”HeatoN” Christensen saw his team get demolished on the deciding map during the X-Games finals.
But the Ninjas in Pyjamas leader still praises his players – and sends out a message to the community:
– I guarantee that we’ll be the best team 2015, I’m certain of it, he tells Aftonbladet Esport.
After the semifinals against Fnatic, one of the best CS:GO games ever played according to Duncan ”Thorin” Shields, Emil ”HeatoN” Christensen said he was satisfied with a top 2 finish at the first ever X-Games CS:GO tournament.
But after seeing his side get swept away yet again by the french powerhouse LDLC, the NiP legend had some opinions on how the finals went down.
– To come in second place and beat Fnatic in the semis, I’m really pleased with that. But it’s still anticlimactic since we should’ve won Dust2. We just threw away the rounds there, like we did against Fnatic on Inferno yesterday. We just gave them the map.
”Looked disorganized on Cobblestone”
With a new player on the team and a longer vacation after DreamHack Winter, NiP haven’t had the chance to practice all of the maps. According to HeatoN, one of those was Cobblestone – the very map that proved to be so successful for the team at ESL One Cologne.
– They looked disorganized on Cobble and it’s not much to do about that. Honestly, I don’t think we’ve practiced it once with this lineup. That’s the downside of recruiting a new player. You have two maps that you don’t know and you ban one just to see the other one come up. But I’m still really proud of the guys. They’re amazing.
”Only a matter of time for the NA teams”
HeatoN also sends praise towards the MLG crew and their tournament.
– The players are really satisfied and the production has been good, even though the MLG platform leaves something to be desired. But it means a lot that North America is stepping up. They’ve always been just below the European teams but now they’re really close, it’s only a matter of time before they’re with us in the top. And it’s good that MLG brings in CS:GO as one of their games as well.
”I’m certain we’ll be the best team”
For the ninjas, the ASUS ROG CS:GO Winter Tournament in Finland is next in line. Then they’ll play the Pantamera CS:GO Challenge in February and IEM Katowice in March. And HeatoN:s last words is a message to the CS:GO community:
– I guarantee that we’ll be the best team 2015, I’m certain of it.
