Pantamera returns for a second season of the succesful crowdfunded tournament that saw 2 million unique viewers over the stretch of the tournament.
With a scarce supply of crowdfunded tourneys on the CS:GO circuit, the professional players are happy to se more of it.

The crowdfunded tournament Pantamera became a huge success at the beginning of the year. Several million viewers tuned in to watch the first LAN in Sweden of 2015. The best players in the world all gathered at Inferno Online in Stockholm to compete for a prize pool based on recycled cans by Swedish esport fans.

The pool finally reached a total sum of 28 thousand dollars and the eventual winners Fnatic took home the majority of the prize pool. Pantamera will now return for a second season. With qualifiers destined to start in january of next year, but the crowdfunding effort starts today.

”Feels good to give something back”

In Sweden, people pay a small extra fee for all cans and bottles. This fee can then be refunded by recycling the canisters at supermarkets or other places. Returpack, the company charged with controlling and encouraging this effort for a better environment, will once again contribute to the building of the prize pool at Pantamera.
– We have been working with communication towards gamers for five years since the fans are so dedicated and commited. What will be extra nice with this season of Pantamera is that through online tournaments, we hope to reach out to the whole gaming community in Sweden, independent on where people live and which level they play on. Hopefully we will find the next big star in CS:GO over the course of the qualifiers, Rickard Andersson at Returpack says to Aftonbladet Esport.

Over 6 000 fans showed up at this years event all having a chance to watch their favorite pros up close and personal.
– The fans are the reason why we are here and it feels good to give something back to them, Jesper ”jw” Wecksell during the big LAN-finals at Inferno Online.

With an mobile application along side recycling stations at Inferno Online, the organizers hope to beat last years prize pool and continue to raise awareness about the importance of recycling.
