Pronax about the latest patch: ”We have to adapt”
avThe ESL champions Fnatic will play Team SoloMid in a best of five for a chance at a 3 000 dollar prize pool as Aftonbladet Esport ”Fight Night” premieres tonight.
Prior to the game, Markus ”pronax” Wallsten, talks about the vacation after following the major win and about his thoughts about the infamous patch.
– We obviously have to adapt after the latest update, and it has been a huge adaptation period to be honest, he says to Aftonbladet Esport.
On Monday Fnatic will face off against Team SoloMid for a chance to take home the 3 000 dollar prize pool allocated for one big best-of-five game. A fairly decent amount of money for a days work.
– I really like the concept, more games to the people, Markus ”pronax” Wallsten tells Aftonbladet Esport ahead of the exciting game.
”It will be fascinating”
As everybody knows, Fnatic won – in dramatic fashion – over their arch rivals Ninjas in Pyjamas in the final of the first major of the year. With well developed strategies and a brilliant way to use the force buys the Swedish team won ESL One in Katowice.
A few weeks after the tournament Valve decided to put in an, albeit small, nerf on the Tec-9. At the same time the developers buffed the SMG:s of the game – especially the MP7 aswell as the MP9.
– It will be very interesting to watch which teams have adopted the best to the patch in upcoming tourneys, pronax says and continues:
– I really don’t have an opinion on the actual nerfs or buffs, but it will be fascinating to see how it all plays out.
”Fall a bit behind”
After the victory in Katowice, Fnatic took a small break from the game. The last time the team took some time off they, according to them self, returned with a tarnished form – yet managed to win at Pantamera.
– It is really the small details that decided who will win and who will lose in CS, so if you take a pause for two to three weeks, you fall a bit behind, but at the same time we are only human and we need a vacation every now and then.
