RobbaN comments FaZe rumors: ”There’s interest from both sides”
avClues have been dropped and many in the community seems convinced that 1.6 legend Robert ”RobbaN” Dahlström is to become the new coach for FaZe Clan.
The man himself does not confirm the rumors.
– There’s interest from both sides, however my future remains unsure, the veteran tells Aftonbladet Esport.
FaZe Clan, former G2 Esports, have made themselves known for using a coach as in-game leader. However, the team has struggled to find a long standing coach. The last man to hold the position, Nikola ”LEGIJA” Ninic, was kicked in October and since then the duty has fallen upon the players, often Håvard ”rain” Nygaard.
They are still searching though, Mikail ”Maikelele” Bill revealed to Aftonbladet Esport during Dreamhack Winter 2015, adding that they had been looking at ”some old legends”, among them Robert ”RobbaN” Dahlström.
Up until this day however, the team stands without a coach, but things might be changing soon. After winning against Luminosity Gaming at Dreamhack Leipzig, Maikelele led us in on another clue:
– We’re gonna have a new coach on Monday, the Swede said live in front of thousands on live TV.
As per usual, rumors and speculations run wild and many now discuss the identity of the fazeless man. Due to Maikelele’s previous statement to Aftonbladet many suspect it’s RobbaN who’s joining the squad. The man himself, however, does not confirm the rumor:
– I cannot confirm anything right now since nothing is settled. There’s interest from both sides, however my future remains unsure. I have a couple of different offers on the table, but it would definitely be an awesome challenge to coach FaZe, the veteran tells Aftonbladet Esport.
