After a rollercoaster of a year in Ninjas in Pyjamas, Aleksi ”allu” Jalli announced his departure from the squad while the rest of the players’ futures were still uncertain.
But according to sources to Aftonbladet Esport, NiP is set to announce Jacob ”pyth” Mourujärvi as their fifth man – and at the same time sign their four core players going into 2016.

As 2015 began, Ninjas in Pyjamas were in high hopes of yet an other successful year. They had recently signed Mikail ”Maikelele” Bill and finished second at the last major of 2014.
At MLG X Games Aspen Invitational, one of the first tourneys of the new year, the team won a hard fought semifinal against Fnatic only to lose to LDLC in the finals. And those second place finishes would almost become synonymous with NiP during the year.
After Maikelele was replaced by finnish AWP:er Aleksi ”allu” Jalli, the team would time and time again deliver fantastic games against some of the most competent opponents on the planet – only to fall short when everything was on the line.

As autumn rolled around, several rumors were circulating regarding the future of the most well known esports squads on the scene. In early december, allu announced that he would not return to the squad, and the rumors of an eventual split grew even stronger.

Now, as the year draws to a close, Aftonbladet Esport can reveal that the four original Ninjas in Pyjamas players have signed new deals with the organization and will be joined by Jacob ”pyth” Mourujärvi, according to two sources close to the team. But reaching out to the organisation, they neither confirm nor deny the rumors.
– At this moment I can not comment on this, the CEO of Ninjas in Pyjamas tells Aftonbladet Esport.

Adam Friberg has already been presented as the first player in the ”new” Ninjas in Pyjamas, and the organisation will reveal another player each day until New Year’s Eve.
