The boys started out well on T side Inferno against Keyd Stars taking the first half 13-2. Upon switching to CT side for the second half, the pistol round was lost and this led to a struggle to gain a foothold in the half. Eventually the boys managed to finish out the map 16-9 to secure the first win of the tournament!

Next up was CLG this time both teams taking to the stage. After a delay with the map selection system, it was settled that it would be Mirage with NIP taking the T side to start. The first half was calmly carried out 13-2 in favour of the Ninjas with excellently composed communication throughout. The team work considering the new addition was impressive especially with the language used being a mixture of Swedish and English.

The boys took the pistol at the start of the second half, but with the T side getting 3 kills they were able to push out a force buy and take the second round, forcing the ninjas onto a double eco. After this the rounds were set at 14-5 in the favour of the CT side and this next round was to be critical with the buy leaving the economy at $0. This round was sadly lost forcing the team back onto an eco.

It was in the 22^nd round that the boys managed to take the game to match point making it 15-7 however both teams were on a buy so it was not over yet! Xizt opens up the kills on A getting 2 early on, followed up by 2 from GeT_RiGhT. This left only ptr with his awp against all 5 of the Ninjas and he was swiftly dealt with.

This meant VICTORY for the Ninjas and two wins on day one of ’ESL One Katowice’ securing first seed for the quarter finals.

The night can now be spent brushing up on research and relaxing in preparation for the games to come!

After the game Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund had praise for his teammates and said they were “just happy to get the win.” His plans for the rest of the night were as follows “Eating, relaxing and looking forward to tomorrow”.
