Would you like to read more about profiles?

av Madeleine Leander

A few days ago I wrote a text with the title “Drama = alive game?” I wrote about how StarCraft 2 sometimes feels more alive when there is a lot of drama. Some think that drama is necessary and they like to follow it. Others think it’s bad. I myself, would like to read more about the game, the players and the profiles and less about drama.

I think profiles are important for every sport. I don’t mean the drama around them, but interesting things about the people involved in the sport. Maybe we need more of that?

It happens that I watch “meat sports”. When I do I think it’s more interesting when you get to know the people you are watching. I like it when they show emotions, when you get to see how happy they get when their win or the disappointment when they fail. When they shows emotions they also show how much the sport means to them and it’s easy to understand their passion. I also think it’s interesting to know how they prepare for a competition and what they do when they are not training.

This got me thinking. Is there something I can do? Would it be interesting if I talked with profiles and wrote about them? If so, who would you like to read about? And what? If there is an interest for this I think it’s worth a try!

P.S. Of course it also depends on the interest from players and profiles. I’m sure some would like the idea but not everyone.
