2nd MLG X Games Aspen 2015
1st Asus ROG Winter 2015
The team had an impressive performance in the recent MLG X-Games Aspen CSGO tournament being stopped only by LDLC in the final and bringing in a silver medal. How many people can say they have an X-Games silver medal? That being an impressive achievement in itself, is not enough for NIP who will surely feel they could have taken Gold. But what it does mean is, they will be hungry to bounce straight back and dominate again.
Next up was ’ASUS ROG Winter 2015’ and it got off to a flying start with the first game going 16-6 in NIP’s favour against Mouz and the second 16-2 against 3DMax. This saw them progress to the play-offs and eventually win the lot! While it is not a major final it is a LAN and it is another tournament victory to add to their list.
If their longer standing members weren’t scary enough. Allu brings a lightning fast AWP to devastate the opponent. Whether on the attack or defence, this versatile player uses his weapon to catastrophic effect. When this is combined with the rifles of the other four on the roster I would not want to be on the opposite side. Tactics you can plan around, raw talent is difficult to account for, and NIP have it in bagfuls. It seems to have taken very little time for him to settle in and feel comfortable playing in the team.
It is now time to play their first Major with the new addition and set their sights high for ESL One Katowice. This will hopefully be the next name at the bottom of the list of achievements and I believe the line up and ability we have now at NIP is more than capable. The boys have been bootcamping in preparation and are ready to give it their all, and it is our turn too, to give all the support we can.
Many of the teams have had changes in form and roster leading up to the tournament meaning it will be hard to tell who will go into the LAN strong and who will be a little off their game. However we can be sure that everyone will be completely focussed and all trying to bring their best. This promises for an amazing weekend of Counter Strike.
I feel as time goes on, only improvements will be made by the team. More kills, more titles, and ultimately more entertainment for the fans.
