Viagame announced on Thursday that the popular tournament House Cup will be coming back. This time the prize pool will be 25 000 dollars.
– We are already one of the biggest players in Hearthstone and our ambition is to stay in that position during 2015, content manager of Viagames, Simon Sunden, says to Aftonbladet Esport.

Viagames House Cup is back, this time with an even bigger prizepool. Set to take place during 27-29 of March, the tournament will once again have some of the best players under one roof.

Eight players will be invited and eight players will have go through qualifiers in order to reach the house in the Stockholm archipelago.
– The invited players will be based on past results and ”ladder”-ranking, Simon Sunden of Viagames says to Aftonbladet Esport.

”We are positive towards crowd funding”

The players will be competing for a staggering 25 000 dollars as well as 230 Hearthstone World Championship points. The tournament organizers are gearing up to become one of the focal points of the Hearthstone calendar.
– We always take really good care of the participating players, and that’s important considering that they are commentating as well as playing. That was one thing that was highly praised last year and we are certain that we will attract the best players for this tournament too.

Are you guys considering to go the crowd funding way in order to up the prize pool in the future?
– We are positive to crowd funding, but it has to be done in a very good fashion. Hearthstone is still a fairly new game, however there’s a very big community who are supporting the scene and donating to their favorite players.
