Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund might be among the most famous Counter Strike players of all time. If there existed a Hall of Fame in CS, the Yoloflanker would be a first ballot. However, he’s a true esport-fanatic, watching most of everything when it comes to professional gaming. Right now there’s a kind of a big tournament going on over in Asia, so we put the legend to the task. We asked him to predict the quarter finals at Worlds.
– I hope that Cloud 9 will go far in the tournament so we have at least some representation outside of Asia, and I believe they can go far in Worlds if they come out on top with the picks and bans, he told Aftonbladet Esport.

The world famous CS:GO-player, celebrated for his unconventional playing style, is not only astute on the maps of the FPS, but also on the Summoner’s Rift. And while he would not call himself an expert, we still pushed him against the wall and asked for his prediction in the upcoming quarter finals.

Samsung White vs. Team SoloMid: 3-1

SSW had a cake walk through the groupstages, and really only faced opposition from Edward Gaming. They will obviously play infront of their home crowed that will help them, but it might also be a liablity. We have played our fair amount of games in Sweden and the audience is a huge source for adrenaline – especially for emotional players – howerver there are players who react negatively to the pressure from the fans expectations. And that is Team SoloMids chance in this game, that and the fact that Søren ”Bjergsen” Bjerg is playing at the top of his level right now.

Samsung Blue vs. Cloud 9: 3-2

– I have already stated that I want Cloud 9 to succeed at Worlds. But this might be the worst possible matchup for them, at least if we should listen to experts and the fact that SSB are the number 1 seed out of Korea. Cloud 9 can still win this one, we all saw what Fnatic did to Samsung Blue during the group match where the koreans looked shocken up. The problem is that they have to do it at least three times – which will be a bit to much.

Star Horn Royal Club vs. Edward Gaming: 3-1

– Edward Gaming are essentially a Dreamteam out of China that was put together to win this very tournament. We all know that story. But this might be the hardest game to predict. Star Horn is a great team, and I love how they tackle the problem with communications within the team, pointing on the map and basically saying “go go go”. They impressed me greatly during the groupstage. And I believe they will make the ”dream team” fall.

Naijn White Shield vs. OMG: 3-2

– We all know what Gao ”Gogoing” Di-Ping and OMG did at the last Worlds. And he might have been the reason they are in the playoffs again. In this years playoff this is the “wild card”-game. If you listen to the commentators and experts, NWS should win this one – and I have to roll with the ones who know more than me.
