YamatoCannon set to coach Team Roccat
avAfter MeetYourMakers relegation, Jakob ”YamatoCannon” Mebdi stated his intentions of coaching another LCS team.
Now he seems to have found a new home as sources tell Aftonbladet Esport ”it’s one hundred percent sure” he’s signed on for Team Roccat.
Despite almost clinging to their spot in the LCS after a tough season, MeetYourMakers eventually fell against Giants Gaming in the tiebreaker game. Afterwards, team coach Jakob ”YamatoCannon” Mebdi talked to Aftonbladet Esport about his future endeavors which would include coaching Glacial Phoenix in the StarLadder series and then go looking for another LCS job.
– Right now I really feel ready to coach a LCS team, I want to use the knowledge I’ve gained in MYM, he told Aftonbladet Esport only weeks ago.
”No comment at this moment”
Now his wish has been granted as sources claim he’s ”100 percent sure” to sign on for Team Roccat. YamatoCannon’s new team had a disappointing season themselves, finishing in eight place, having to fight for their LCS survival. Despite being hyped before the season they couldn’t live up to the expectations and now it seems they’re looking for new blood behind the players. But neither YamatoCannon nor manager Thomas ”flyy” Mihailov want to comment on the rumours at the moment.
– I can’t say anything, YamatoCannon tells Aftonbladet Esport.
– No comment at this moment, is the short reply from Mihailov.
The recruitment is expected to be official within the following days.
