Too much salt is never good – well too much of anything is never good (except green juice of course) – anyways, we do need a little bit of salt. Why? ”The sodium component of salt is vital for controlling the amount of water in the body, maintaining the normal pH of blood, transmitting nerve signals and helping muscular contraction,” (BBC.com).
BUT there is a difference between salt and salt. Please, for your body’s sake, only intake the naturally-harvested, sun-dried varieties, which are full of minerals and good things. I recommend Celtic Sea Salt and/or Himalayan Salt.
