LOW-FAT, LIGHT, AND NON-FAT PRODUCTS ARE SO 1990…
avYes eating low-fat, light and non-fat products might have been a trend in the 90’s, but ladies & gentlemen now it is just so old… out of style… Today you should be eating the real thang – food that the body recognizes. The structure of the food changes when it’s processed and this confuses our digestive system. So go to your fridge, pour out the skim milk and low-fat yogurt. And say bye bye to fake!! Also when it comes to fat, you should be getting the ”right” type, don’t try to avoid it, our bodies definitely need it. Fat protects our most important organs, helps nerves to function properly, keeps us warm (hello Swedes…bbrrrrr), and is a great source of energy.
”In January 2011 the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans based on the latest scientific data suggested it’s all about quality of fats. The recommendations focused on choosing healthy fats from sources like nuts, seeds, olives and avocado, while still keeping sources of saturated fats like butter, whole milk, beef and chicken with skin to less than 10 percent of overall daily calories. It also suggests minimizing trans fat, which is found in margarine and some processed foods like chips,” (FoodNetwork.com).
I’m no fan of diary, you know that, but if you’re going to eat it, please buy the real deal. Trust me on this one.
