This Big Kale Salad looks simple, but has a powerful taste. Bang! Got this from Organic Avenue in West Village this am, but you can easily make this at home!

Organic Ingredients: Kale, Arugula, Celery, Onion, Hemp Seeds, Sun Dried Olives, Raisins, Carrots, Almonds, Lemon, Dates, Purified Alkaline Water, Garlic, Savory, Thyme, Himalayan Salt.

Thought the dangers of aspartame were known to the public by now, but apparently people are still taking in foods/drinks containing it. Oh yes this post is for all you Diet Coke drinkers out there… 🙂

Came across an article this morning on NaturalNews.com that discussed the side effects of eating aspartame, which includes blurred vision, headaches, seizures and more. Not ready to give it up? Ok keep reading…

Why do people use it? To replace sugar… it’s an unnatural artificial sweetener that messes with the chemical balance of our body. Yes, it’s low in calories, but so are a lot of things… this is not the answer to weight loss ladies.

WHAT DOES ZINC DO FOR YOUR BODY?

Zinc = helps with infertility issues, is important for brain function, maintains the body’s acid/alkaline balance, aids in collagen (which is protein) formation, and helps form insulin (needed for many vital enzymes).

Where can you find zinc? In whole grains, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.
