To avoid the popcorn smootherd in butter, soggy nachos, gallon sized coke bottles, artificial candy and… you get the gist… bring your own snacks and sweets to the movies instead like this Anitdote raw chocolate from Whole Foods Market. Your mind and body will feel so much better… and thank you later. Got to go, show is starting!

Don’t eat the same thing for breakfast everyday – that way you’ll get bord and go for the egg/bacon combo. Yuck!

This AM I had raspberries, a banana, and the ”Classic” yoga tea. The office still smells like cinnamon, mmmm, love it. It’s 10am now, so I plan on eating at 1pm again… Like to space out my meals with 3-3.5 hours in between.

WHAT’S GOING ON IN YOUR BODY?

av Filippa Salomonsson

Circadian Rhythms of Your Body:

  • Cycle 1 – Elimination (4am-noon) – This is the time your body uses it’s energy to heal and repair itself. It’s when elimination is most active. Eat juicy fruit or fresh juice only.
  • Cycle 2 – Appropriation (noon-8pm) – Digestion is at its strongest. This is the time to eat!
  • Cycle 3 – Assimilation (8pm-4am) – This is the time your body takes to extract, absorb, and utilize the nutrients in the food. Let your stomach retire.

Here is a drink that will give you an afternoon ”pick-me-up-right-now.”

And did you know….? That studies in Israel show that pomegranate juice destroys breast cancer cells while leaving healthy cells alone. It may also prevent breast cancer cells from forming.

So I’m not wearing perfume for a while, don’t think it’s healthy for your skin (all those chemicals that sink into your body…), and trying this rose petal scent instead. Smells just like a fresh bouquet.

And a doctor once told me that if you want to start getting your body ready for children, don’t wear perfume. Thought that was interesting… Don’t get any ideas, I’m not there yet 🙂

Here is what I picked up from Whole Foods Market in Soho today. My focus was dressings… so I bought some new ingredients for my recipes. Will post them soon!

Other than that, my grocery basket included avocado, walnuts, quinoa, almond butter, cucumber, kale, broccoli, red pepper, blueberries, raspberries, garlic, bananas, dulse, pine nuts, sprouts, etc.
