DELICIOUS RAW BANANA CREAM PIE

How about starting with this raw banana cream pie created by Laura-Jane, the lovely lady behind The Rawtarian website. Crust Ingredients: 1 cup cashews, 1 cup dried, unsweetened coconut, 1/2 cup dates, 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Banana filling: 2 medium bananas, 3/4 cup cashews, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/3 cup coconut oil, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/8 teaspoon sea salt

FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

Spent most of the day curled up on the sofa reading Conscious Eating by Gabriel Cousens today, and came across this paragraph copied below that I loved. What is going on here? We have gone so far in the other direction that we think it’s normal… The fact that burgers & fries are standard (in almost any country nowadays), and raw food is so crazy and ”out there” is scary to me. We have to begin eating more simple organic food from the earth, the kind that our bodies truly need. Here is just a little food for thought to start your week. I hope you are with me in changing our habits, one step at a time, one person at a time. xx

”In today’s world of fast food and food irradiation, the relationship to food has become confused and degenerate. Many of us are disconnected and perceive as foreign the natural foods that Mother Nature offers us. The natural way to eat somehow seems ’old-fashioned’ or strange. If this seems far-fetched, consider all the people who have repeated triple by-pass surgeries for clogged arteries with out eliminating the proven cause of the problem, which they could do by adopting a diet that does not clog the arteries,” (Concious Eating by Gabriel Cousens).

PUMPKIN SOUP.

Try this delicious pumpkin soup from KrisCarr.com.

Ingredients: 1 cup organic vegetable broth, 1 1/2 ripe avocado, 2 cups simmered kabocha pumpkin, 1/2 cup sliced, sautéed leeks, 2 cloves roasted garlic, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon chile powder, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg, sea salt, 3 tablespoon organic toasted pumpkin seeds.

How To Make It: Place all ingredients into a blender and process starting with low speed, gradually increasing to high speed. Blend well until reaching a creamy consistency. Garnish with organic toasted pumpkin seeds.

NATURAL BEAUTY PREP FOR THE BIG DAY

Need a miracle? Well what is it? It’s a shift in perception from love to fear. It’s when we begin taking action based on love, when we choose loving thoughts, when we give kindness to ourself and others, when we forgive, when we give thanks, when our words are based on love, and anything along these lines. It’s when we stop judging, let go of fear (of the past and future) and focus on now. When we choose love over fear, the Universe takes notice and begins to help you on the right path – it begins to send you miracles. Life does not need to be a struggle, it’s not supposed to be; you are meant to be happy.

Start living a life beyond your wildest dreams. And get some inspiration from Gabby to kick life in to high gear today. I’ve posted this video before, but just love the engery it excudes.

You are the guru. The power is within you… Don’t look outside for answers, go inside yourself. Meditate, even for 5 minutes in silence, and if the answers don’t come to you right away, rest assure that they eventually will – when the timing is right. Have faith in life and remember that the Universe has your back. It doesn’t want to see you fail.

BODYLICIOUS! BABY

Been waiting for a workout/nutrition book like this – with equal focus on both parts. Cause you can’t have one with the other… I mean what’s the point of sweating for hours at the gym if you’re gonna inhale a bag of chips after, and vice versa. Even though I’m very devoted to my raw philosophy, I share a ton of the same thoughts with these ladies and really want to congratulate them on an amazing and inspirational book.

You can always work on yourself – both mentally and physically – so I’m ready to get going and apply a lot of these tips and exercises to my life (like now, right away). Especially the workout portion since my wedding is around the corner and 6 months away (eek!). Let’s do this. Bodylicious boot camp baby!!
