Tim Burton och The Killers. Smaka på det en stund. Kan det bli bättre? Johnny Depps polare, tillika Helena Bonham Carters fästman, Tim Burton alltså, har enligt min mening regisserat några magiskt vackra filmer: ”Edward Scissorhands”, ”Sleepy Hollow”, ”Big Fish”, ”Alice i Underlandet” med flera.

Första gången Tim Burton samarbetade med The Killers regisserade han videon till ”Bones” från ”Sam’s town”-albumet. Nu har Burtan iscensatt ”Here with me” från senaste albumet ”Battle born”. I videon strålar Tim Burton åter samman med Winona Ryder som spelar mot Craig Roberts.

”The first time I saw The Killers perform live was in Blackpool, UK shortly after completing work on our first collaboration, the music video for ”Bones”. When I heard the song ”Here with me”, I remembered seeing a wax figure of Winona in Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks in Blackpool. The concept of the video is inspired by the 1935 film ”Mad love”, starring Peter Lorre, as well as the works of Mario Bava. It was a pleasure to film in Blackpool and to work with The Killers, Winona Ryder and Craig Roberts. I hope you enjoy and Happy Holidays!”
